02 BLU manicure

For this manicure I used Sally Hansen HD HI-Definition in 02 BLU. It is a very nice blue. Not too light or too dark. I applied two coats. Then I used my white nail art pen to make the white line. This is very easy to do and only takes a few minutes. I applied a top coat once the whole look was complete.

Flower Manicure

This manicure design was inspired by LOVE4NAILS and this is the video:

I apologize for the bad quality in my photo. For my background color I used Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in 04 Blue Me Away. I then grabbed my nail art pen in white and did the white dots with the pen.I then took my black nail art pen and made a dot in the middle since I do not own any rhinestones. I placed 3 dots on each corner of my nail(top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right). For added shine and so the manicure can last long enough I added a top coat.

That completes the whole design. As she stated in her video, this is a very simple design to do & it looks nice.

Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens

The colors will be listed in the order they appear on the photo from left to right:
(blue,black,silver & gold).

(White)

I purchased these Nail Art Pens about a month or 2 ago.The first one I purchased is the photo on the bottom (white one). I only bought one to try it out and see if I liked it.

Packaging:

The Nail Art Pen comes inside a  mostly clear box as you can see above. The top portion of the box is the color of the nail art pen. For example,if you buy a gold pen the top will be gold. In the front of the box there is a nail design showing you the color of the pen.If you turn the box to the left it lists all the ingredients. If you turn it to the right you will see various nail designs made with the color you have of the pen.

Each pen has a flower at the top of the cap. I found this to be so cute. The color of the flower coincides with the actual color of the pen. The middle section of the pen is also the color of the pen.

How to:

Before you start using the Nail Art Pen, make sure your nails are clean & dry.You then need to either apply a base coat or a nail polish of your choice. Do not use the pen on your bare nails. Once the base coat/nail polish has completely dried, you are ready to start using the pen.

Now that you are ready to begin using the pen before removing the cap, be sure to shake it really well. Begin by removing the cap.Next you will need to press down on a hard surface to bring the product to the tip. If the product was not shaken that well you will need to press down maybe 2 or 3 times. At this time you should see the product dispense from the tip. You can start creating your nail art design & be as creative as you like.

The best thing about these pens is that they are water based. That means if you make a mistake you don't have to worry about messing up your background color and having to start over. You can easily wipe it off with a tissue and continue with your design. Also, when you have finished your design make sure to apply a top coat. This is important because since this product is water based if you accidently rub it against fabric,a surface or you want to wash your hands it will come off. The top coat secures it in place.

Additional Info:

Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens do not come in sets/packs. They are each sold separately. Depending on where you are located the prices will vary, I paid $7.95 for each pen. I think it is a bit pricey but IMO it's worth it. They can be purchased in any drugstore(CVS,walgreens,Rite-Aid,Duane Reade). I was looking on youtube for designs people have created using the nail art pen and I found what to me seems a better deal.

Follow that link and see the difference for yourself. I will be purchasing from that site in the future!

Final thoughts:

Overall, I don't regrest purchasing Sally Hhansen NAil Art Pens. They are convenient, easy to use and best of all like I mentioned if you are not satisfied with a design you have created, you can easily wipe it off and  start over. I definitely recommend everyone to try at least one pen.

Nail Polish Storage

Ok so I thought I would do a blog entry on how/where I store all of my polishes. I don't have a fancy or special way I store them, nor do I have a huge collection. I just wanted to show what I have.

This is  what I call a "metal crate". I purchased a utensil set and it came in this crate. On the left side there is a vertical space & that is where I have all of my Nail Art Deco polishes. To the right of that there are 3 vertical spaces. The first two rows are just nail color polishes. On the last row to the far back I have clear polishes( nail growth treatments, nail hardeners, top & base coats).

That's pretty much it. Simple yet organized. Any questions feel free to ask.
