St Ives Naturally Green Tea Scrub

St Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub

As always I read reviews on this product and for the most part they were positive reviews. I saw some that were written from people that had sort of the same skin type as I do. I went ahead & purchased it. I purchased this at Ulta for $5.99.

This claims to clear breakouts & reduce redness
-It is oil-free & contains salicyclic acid acne medication with 100% natural green tea.
-Hypoallergenic
-Non-Comedogenic
-Dermatologist tested
-Formulated without Parabens
-Not tested on animals
-Does not contain any animal ingredients

From America-s #1 scrub brand, this scrub with skin-soothing green tea gently fights blemishes and reduces redness & irritation caused by acne. The result is clear and calm skin.

Review:

When I purchase a face product I like to test it on part of my face because I have very sensitive skin. I made the mistake to apply this to my entire face. The first day I was fine with it. No irritation, no redness,no dryness.Smooth soft skin ia what I experienced the first day.In the directions it says for best results use daily.Second day when I applied this again, I was fine. The next day when I woke up, OH BOY! I had 3-4 big cystic pimples.

This is the first time I use a scrub and being that I have very sensitive skin, my skin reacts bad to certain products. This is not a harsh scrub at all.You do not feel the beads. It is not scratchy on the skin.

This does contain a scent/fragrance.,if you are sensitive to smells then I'd stay away from this. It is not bothersome to me. In fact, I liked the smell. I think it's the mixture of green tea with something else.(I'm not too good at describing scents).

The other thing I liked about this was that it left my skin feeling soft. Not tight like some other cleansers or face products do.

I used my Cetaphil cleanser then I used this scrub. They do recommend to use their green tea facial scrub but I didn't experience any problems while using my regular Cetaphil cleanser. I waited until a pimple on my nose cleared up then I tried the scrub only on my nose(which is what I was supposed to do since the beginning so I wouldn't have to deal with more breakouts then I'd like to) and the following day there was a pimple.

Unfortunately, this product did nothing but cause breakouts.I did not see a reduction in redness either. I'm still trying to get rid of the pimples that appeared after I tried this scrub and they are being stubborn and not wanting to clear up :-(.

All in all. I think if you have very sensitive skin I wouldn't use this product. Unfortunately my high hopes for this product were not met.

If you've tried out this scrub comment below with your experience.

I hope this review was helpful.
